Why Bruukki for your school?

Teachers' time is your school's most valuable resource. Material preparation takes hours every week, and differentiating for different learners requires more and more of it. Bruukki helps teachers create quality, differentiated learning materials faster.

Schools using Bruukki report up to 87% time savings in material creation.

Supporting teachers' work

Bruukki reduces time spent on material preparation, giving teachers more time for pedagogical work. It supports differentiation, one of the most time-consuming parts of the job.

Collaboration in subject groups

In Teamspaces, teachers can share materials, co-edit, and build a shared material library. Collaboration can extend across schools.

Materials stay with the school

In Bruukki's Teamspaces, the school's material library grows and remains, even as teachers change. New teachers can immediately build on what colleagues have shared.

Secure and easy to use

All data stored in the EU. GDPR-compliant processing, with information security managed to ISO/IEC 27001. Works in the browser, no installation needed.

Manage from one place

The admin panel shows users, permissions, and licences. Inviting new teachers is done with an invite link.

Can be integrated with the learning environment you already use

Bruukki can be integrated with your school's learning environment, so that materials created in Bruukki can be exported directly to Moodle, Google Classroom or Teams, for example. The integration can also pull information from the learning environment.

For higher education

University of Turku and LUT University Adopt Bruukki

Bruukki is in use at the University of Turku and LUT University.

Up-to-date learning materials

University course content evolves continuously. New research findings, developments in the field, and current examples are added as the course progresses. Bruukki lets the teacher keep materials current quickly, without each update demanding several evenings of work.

Differentiation for students at different levels

Students on the same course often have very different starting points. Bruukki's pedagogical structure allows the teacher to offer multiple versions of the same content: a refresher version, a base version, and an advanced version. The same topic serves both motivated students and those who need extra support.

Field-specific content, for example in language teaching

University language courses bring together students from different fields. Engineers, business students and healthcare students learn the same language, but the most relevant vocabulary and context differ by field. Bruukki makes it possible for the teacher to create texts and tasks for each group that connect to their own area of study.

"One teaching unit took 6 hours without Bruukki and about 1 hour with Bruukki."

Privacy and compliance

Bruukki is a Finnish company and privacy is built into the service from the start. Here are the essentials in brief. We are happy to tell you more.

Member of the GDPR-Library EU badge
Bruukki is listed in Ilona IT's Software Library EU.

GDPR

All customer data is stored in the EU. A Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) has been completed and an Article 28 Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available. A transfer impact assessment is on file for every non-EU subprocessor. EU-only AI processing is available as a workspace setting.

ISO/IEC 27001

We operate to ISO/IEC 27001: documented security policies, named owners, a risk register, supplier assessments and regular access reviews.

EU AI Act

Bruukki has been assessed under the EU AI Act. The service makes no automated decisions about learners, so it is not a high-risk system. Transparency duties are met: teachers always see when AI is generating content and approve every output.

Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA)

We build the service to WCAG 2.1 AA as a binding internal requirement. Our public website passes automated accessibility checks.

UK GDPR

Our UK GDPR position is assessed and documented: the ICO is named in our privacy notice and UK transfer routes are mapped for every subprocessor.

Canada

Canadian privacy law (federal PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25) has been assessed. Our GDPR baseline substantively meets or exceeds the PIPEDA fair-information principles.
